Live in Kuching :)

this my people, is Sungha Jung.
 talented, no?

I went for his free concert which was held at the Kuching airport and believe me, everything was major chaotic. Why wouldn't it be? It was free and he is an international artiste, of course everybody would go crazy!

so let me describe how everything went.

supposedly, his concert was scheduled to start at two. but of course, little Sungha was busy being fashionably late. well actually, just 10 to 15 minutes late (yes,I kept tract of time) everybody was lining up outside the airport (picture above), waiting to welcome him to Kuching (not really. most of us were busy with our camera, waiting and struggling for a good spot in order to take a good picture of him when he arrives)

and suddenly, people were screaming. that's it. this is it. the time has come. "Sungha Jung is going to walk past me slowly" I whispered to myself (chewah) well, I was kinda hoping for him to pass by but what a disappointment.as I mentioned before, he was busy being fashionably late. he showed up by making his grand entrance with a bike (picture above. i know, what a bad picture. sungha wasn't even captured -.-) everybody went AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAA SUNGHA SUNGHA SARANGHAE etc and all I said to deidrie was GET A GOOD PICTURE GET A PICTURE!! USE YOUR PHONE!! hahaha k.

everybody tailgated the bike into the airport. I was being pulled by Deidrie and we struggled our way in when suddenly, they played Wondergirls "nobody" and tadaa! a flash mob. with sungha. dancing along. I was so excited (like a devoted fangirl) we squeezed through the crowd and still got a bad view. so we decided to change location and moved to the other side of the airport. after many squeezing and cursing, we were right in front and finally got a good view of him. took a few of disappointing pictures that made me realised I wasn't born to be a photographer so I made my choice and gave up on my talentless self. That is when your friend comes in handy. Deidrie did all of the dirty job. Therefore, thank you, Det. Your photography service was very much appreciated.

there is one thing I do not understand though. While Sungha was performing, the bouncers were yelling loudly at us to take few steps back because they thought we were too close to him. Well, we have been standing in that position at the exact same spot for quite a while with our almost best behaviours but okay, maybe we were a little close but he was performing excuse you and you just had to yell that loud? I was a little embarrassed by this act and Sungha, if you're reading, I'm sorry your performance was interrupted by the screaming bouncer. (dream on nas, dream on)

Deidrie couldn't take the heat so she left for Starbucks. There I was all alone in the big crowd. I must say I was a little terrified since they all went crazy at the sight of sungha and they were also a little smelly. hehehe. After performing a number of songs, Sungha stopped and neared his fans. The initial plan was, he's supposed to pick 50 fans of his choice for a meet and greet session.

Believe me, there is nothing to be excited about what is going to happen next.

Sungha actually came to my section first and there I was, imagining all the great things that I hope is going to happen to me. But no. What happened felt like God's survival skill test to me. When he got close to the place where I stood, everybody pushed, pulled, screamed for his attention (which means screaming directly into my ears also) and fight for the front spot. As a small sized lady, I was really struggling to keep my balance, to keep my hair in place (i actually turned my head around to some stranger and yelled for ruining my braided hair. yes, I am that vain), to make sure my bag wasn't at risk of being snatched and also to make sure I didn't hurt anybody. I kept saying sorry to the people beside me and thankfully they were very understanding (since they were going through the same thing) Everyone wanted to be picked so the people behind went extra violent by pushing us more to the front and the bouncers went even more violent by pushing us further back. It was like a tug of war and all I did was just stood there following the crowds' rhythm and silently hoping for this madness to be over. Terrified level? Definitely at its maximum level.

After picking all of the 50 lucky fans (I wasn't picked boohoo) everyone sighed as a sign of disappointment. In the midst of desperation, Joanne found me and my heart brightened. I finally saw the tunnel to escape (chewah) I made my way out and gasp for air. Phew. There wasn't a generous amount of air when you're in a large crowd I tell you. And then finally, little Sungha left.

Oh and did I mention what a good looking lad he is? Everything about him was just super hot. The way his fingers work the guitar. When he wiped his face with the tissue or gulp down a bottle of water. Fuh. Considering the age difference, I am not ashame to admit that I am a pedophile. :3

All in all, it was great catching him performing live. Like all of his youtube videos, he performed like a boss! Despite the chaos, I enjoyed everything.

here's a short video of him performing the same song (as video above)

did I bore you with my very long post? Oh too bad.
